IT Support Specialist - help desk (Buffalo, NY)

Highbridge Sparrow Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Buffalo, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a small organisation of about 186 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
