IT Support Specialist - help desk (Birmingham, AL)

Greenridge North Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Birmingham, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
