IT Support Specialist - help desk (Birmingham, AL)

Redstone River Markets Group serves neighbourhoods around Birmingham with fresh food and everyday goods, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with store inventory. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
