IT Support Specialist - help desk (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Beacon Markets and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be help desk. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with online orders. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
