IT Support Specialist - help desk (Austin, TX)

Redstone Yarrow Facilities is a facilities company in Austin with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with contractor visits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
