IT Support Specialist - help desk (Anchorage, AK)

Harborlight Cedar Arts Center is an arts centre in Anchorage with a full calendar of events. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on help desk. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with event logistics. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
