IT Support Specialist - device setup (Virginia Beach, VA)

Amberfield Willow Insurance is an insurance company in Virginia Beach with claims and service teams, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
