IT Support Specialist - device setup (Virginia Beach, VA)

Summit Meridian Civic Services is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
