IT Support Specialist - device setup (Virginia Beach, VA)

Harborlight Quill Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Virginia Beach. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with case files. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
