IT Support Specialist - device setup (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Timber Insurance and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be device setup. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose. • We reply to every applicant.
