IT Support Specialist - device setup (San Jose, CA)

Amberfield Linden Facilities is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for customer sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 130 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer sites. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
