IT Support Specialist - device setup (San Jose, CA)

Summit Ember Staffing Group is a San Jose staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
