IT Support Specialist - device setup (San Jose, CA)

Foxglove Maple Manufacturing is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for scrap and rework, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
