IT Support Specialist - device setup (San Diego, CA)

Silverline Amber Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around San Diego, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
