IT Support Specialist - device setup (Richmond, VA)

Amberfield Quarry Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Richmond. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. You would join a small organisation of about 105 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Richmond. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
