IT Support Specialist - device setup (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Umber Inspection Services and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be device setup. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
