IT Support Specialist - device setup (Richmond, VA)

Fernwood River Community Partners is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 149 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Richmond. • We reply to every applicant.
