IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Northwind Union Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Des Moines, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
