IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Clearpath West Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Anchorage. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. You would join a large organisation of about 274 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
