IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Fernwood Field Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Birmingham. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with student accounts. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
