IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Northwind West Telecom is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for outage reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
