IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Cedar Hospitality Associates and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be device setup. You would join a large organisation of about 934 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
