IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Cedar Maple Staffing is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for onboarding, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 704 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
