IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Fernwood West Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Minneapolis, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Minneapolis. • We reply to every applicant.
