IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Summit Fern Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Columbus with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
