IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Basin Facilities Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be device setup. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
