IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Lumen Meadow Insurance is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 510 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
