IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Harborlight Quill Civic Services is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 491 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
