IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Northwind Nest Staffing Group places workers with employers around Omaha, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with candidate screening. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
