IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Summit Oak Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Charleston. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. You would join a large organisation of about 825 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
