IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Foxglove Ivory Civic Services supports public agencies in Houston with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. You would join a large organisation of about 759 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with constituent requests. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
