IT Support Specialist - device setup (remote)

Fernwood Quarry Facilities is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
