IT Support Specialist - device setup (Portland, OR)

Stonegate Haven Insurance Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Portland. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Portland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
