IT Support Specialist - device setup (Oakland, CA)

Summit Orchard Telecom is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
