IT Support Specialist - device setup (New Orleans, LA)

Fernwood West Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the New Orleans area, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
