IT Support Specialist - device setup (New Orleans, LA)

Rivermark Wilder Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around New Orleans. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
