IT Support Specialist - device setup (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Sable Staffing and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be device setup. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with onboarding. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
