IT Support Specialist - device setup (Minneapolis, MN)

Summit Granite Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Minneapolis area. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
