IT Support Specialist - device setup (Miami, FL)

Fernwood Birch Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Miami with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
