IT Support Specialist - device setup (Madison, WI)

Harborlight Maple Community Partners is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on device setup for food distribution, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 508 people based in Madison. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
