IT Support Specialist - device setup (Kansas City, MO)

Greenridge Summit Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Kansas City and nearby communities, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. You would join a small organisation of about 195 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
