IT Support Specialist - device setup (Grand Rapids, MI)

Cedar Union Civic Services supports public agencies in Grand Rapids with budgeting, records and programmes. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with procurement. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
