IT Support Specialist - device setup (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Cedar Civic Services Partners supports public agencies in Detroit with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with case files. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
