IT Support Specialist - device setup (Buffalo, NY)

Northwind Stone Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Buffalo focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. We invest in training. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Buffalo, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
