IT Support Specialist - device setup (Boston, MA)

Harborlight Orchard Civic Services works with county and city offices around Boston. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. Public service means patience, paperwork and pride in the outcome. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
