IT Support Specialist - device setup (Boston, MA)

Northwind Rook Markets is a Boston retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our device setup. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with store inventory. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
