IT Support Specialist - device setup (Boston, MA)

Fernwood Union Legal Group is a Boston practice with attorneys, paralegals and client-service staff. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on device setup. Confidentiality and accuracy are taken very seriously. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with document review. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
