IT Support Specialist - device setup (Anchorage, AK)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Drift Civic Services and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be device setup. You would join a small organisation of about 194 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with permits. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
