IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Virginia Beach, VA)

Cedar Rook Water Authority is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
