IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Tampa, FL)

Fernwood Lantern Manufacturing is a Tampa manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Tampa. • We reply to every applicant.
